Be Informed. Be Involved.

If you have a passion for Youth Substance Use Prevention, we have a volunteer opportunity for YOU!

Local Problems Require Local Solutions!

Parents & Guardians

Sorry, we don’t have a fool-proof handbook here for you.  We don’t even have all the answers.  And it’s not on “google” either.
But what we do have is YSUP Rowan, a local coalition of people, who are committed to Youth Substance Use Prevention – it’s more than a name for us.  But we can’t do it alone.  |
Even though it can feel otherwise, parents and guardians have tremendous influence on their children’s behavior –including alcohol and drug use.   We didn’t make that up.  Research studies support that fact.  Research also shows that most parents and guardians believe they have little or no influence.  We need to change that belief.
YSUP Rowan hopes to open the conversation with parents, guardians, grandparents, foster parents and many caregivers who are raising our children.  We want to encourage you to BE INFORMED and BE INVOLVED.
YSUP Rowan needs you and our community working together.  But, most importantly, our children need us.
